Kellyanne & Daniel's wedding day at The Oak Tree.

Everyone is here, their faces aglow with happiness, the hollyhocks are silhouetted in the hot sun, the countryside rippling and rolling gently behind this fabulous wedding. Kellyanne and Daniel married here at The Oak Tree of Peover. It was a day of sunshine, happiness, laughter and love. We captured their wedding in the golden sunlight of the May afternoon, on the inside of the rustic oak beamed building set in gently rolling countryside. The ceremony and drinks reception took place underneath the gigantic oak tree which adorns the festival grounds, sweetly accented with delicately beautiful floral arrangements of miniature peonies, roses, and foliage – the bride’s bouquet complemented that of the venue.

"What struck us was the way Shaun, one of Yorkshire's most experienced Wedding Photographer never missed a moment – every part of the day was captured with the sensitivity of someone who’s spent 35 years behind a lens, someone whose artisanal eye picked out and preserved glimpses and glints from the wider scene, a record of raw emotion and spirit in pictures." From ceremonial clutches and exchanged smiles to crowds whooping to the tune of a microphone-wielding groomsman under a canopy of fairy lights, each of his captures spoke of a very real and clear joy that the newlyweds seemed to feel for one another as they began their future lives together.

With the sun setting, chests pounded with raucous laughter and rose-coloured candles, the day became theirs; carved not only from the dreaming that opens hearts, but forged and fortified by those steadfast enough to help another in love make it real and true. Then they were married. It was the first time they would know themselves to be two that day, and it became theirs: theirs alone, as two, to walk together the days we have, eloquently bruised and sublime. Indeed, it was beautiful, just like everything else that happened that noteworthy day.
