Festive Wedding Photography
08/01/2023
We had the pleasure of being with Jodie and Tristan on their beautiful festive wedding just before Christmas. It had everything too - Jodie's Horse, two dogs, a wonderful church and a magnificent reception venue.
Congratulations to you both and thank you for inviting us to your very special day and letting us take some beautiful photographs. All the very best to you both now and in the future.

Wedding Photographer FAQ
How does Festive Wedding photography work with winter light?
The photographer can plan outdoor portraits around the brightest practical part of the day and use the church and reception venue for natural indoor coverage. A flexible schedule helps preserve seasonal atmosphere without relying on one weather condition. Read more about winter weddings in Yorkshire and how photographers capture natural moments.
Can animals be included in Festive Wedding photography?
A horse or dog can be included in carefully planned portraits when a responsible handler, a suitable location and enough time are available. The animal’s welfare and behaviour must guide the session, and the intended arrangements should be discussed in advance. Read what to expect from your photographer when planning special requests.
What should couples include in a Festive Wedding timeline?
Plan around limited daylight and allow time for preparations, the church ceremony, travel, family groups, couple portraits and the reception. Small buffers help a multi-location winter wedding stay calm and leave space for spontaneous moments. Use the wedding photography timeline guide, the booking guide and Wedding Photographer Resources.
